Arwy guide: Discover and Search, explained

Where your home feed is personal, the Discover tab is for exploring the wider world of Arwy — everything everyone's reading and writing. This guide shows you how to browse it like a pro and find any book or reader in seconds.

If home is your cozy reading nook, Discover is the whole bookshop. It's where you go when you're in the mood to find something — by genre, by what's hot, or by following a thread of rising stars. Let's walk through it.

Tip: Discover is endless. Just keep scrolling and the sections keep coming, genre by genre — it's designed so you never hit a dead end.

The genre bar at the top

Across the top you'll find a sticky bar of genre chips — 28 of them, plus "All." Tap any genre (Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, and so on) to filter the whole screen to just that world. Tap "All" to go back to the full mix. It's the fastest way to say "I'm only in the mood for one thing right now."

The sections in "All"

  • Trending — what's popular and climbing right now.
  • New Releases — the freshest books, hot off the press.
  • Top Rated — the highest-rated reads on Arwy.
  • Rising Books — titles gaining momentum fast; great for catching something before it's everywhere.
  • Popular & Rising Libraries — curated shelves worth following.
  • Rising Authors — writers on the up. A nice place to find someone to follow early.
  • Per-genre rows — "Trending in [genre]" for each of the 28 genres, so the scroll truly never ends.

"See all" and sorting

Every section has a "See all →" that opens the full list as its own page. There you can keep scrolling forever and use the sort menu (look for the sort icon) to reorder by Trending, Newest, Top Rated, or Most Read. It's the same powerful list whether you arrived from Home or Discover.

Search: find anything fast

Tap the search icon to open a dedicated Search screen. It opens with the keyboard ready, and results update live as you type — both books and readers. A few tips:

  • Search a username to find a specific person.
  • Search a title or keyword to find books; the list keeps loading as you scroll.
  • Your recent searches are saved, so jumping back to something is quick.

Tapping into a book

From anywhere in Discover, tapping a book card opens its detail page — cover, blurb, genres, rating, chapters and comments — where you can start reading, download it, or add it to a library. (We dive into reading itself in the Reader guide.)

Next up in the series: the Reader — and all the cozy controls that make a long night of reading a joy. To go deeper on choosing what to read, see how to find your next book.
